Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu appreciated the progress made by the Republic of Moldova in ensuring gender equality: “More employment services, more creches and more kindergartens repaired, more business support programs, more options for using childcare leave, more programs to combat violence, more women in the police – this is how we build an inclusive Moldova,” noted the minister.
Launched in 2006, the Global Gender Gap Index is the longest-standing index tracking progress of numerous countries’ efforts towards closing gender gaps by identifying the most effective policies in this regard.
