Moldova to compete in second semifinal of Eurovision Song Contest 2018

Moldova will perform the seventh in the second semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 that will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, on May 10. The draw was held on January 29 and the results were placed on the Facebook page of the contest, IPN reports.

The first semifinal of May 8 will involve Belarus, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Albania, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Iceland, Azerbaijan, Israel, Estonia, Switzerland, Finland, Austria, Ireland, Armenia, Cyprus, Croatia, Greece, and Macedonia.

The second semifinal will feature the representatives of Russia, Serbia, Denmark, Romania, Australia, Norway, Moldova, San-Marino, the Netherlands, Montenegro, Sweden, Hungary, Malta, Latvia, Georgia, Poland, Slovenia, and Ukraine.

Moldova’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 is chosen in three stages. Live auditions will take place at the start of February. The national semifinal was scheduled for February 22, while the final for February 24. The jury selected 16 out of the 28 applicants.
