The Moldovans will be able to buy and sell directly state securities and other financial instruments. The Central Securities Depository (SCD) will create an online platform that will facilitate this process. The platform will enable to perform operations with securities and other financial instruments online, IPN reports.

According to the National Bank of Moldova, the SDC initiated public consultations on the creation of the electronic platform. This will facilitate the direct sale of state securities to a broad circle of real individual investors who will be able to purchase instruments and to sell financial instruments at a low cost and in conditions of safety.

The concept of the platform was designed in the farmworker of the USAID Project “Transparency of the Financial Sector in Moldova” and forms part of the series of measures supported by the project for developing the financial market in Moldova.

The CSD was built by the National Bank of Moldova as part of the program with the International Monetary Fund with the assistance of USAID.
