The tender contest to use commercial spaces at the Chisinau International Airport ended on Monday at noon. Lagardere company was the only company that registered as a participant.
Contacted by IPN for details, the head of the Airport’s press service Natalia Cojocaru said that the tender commission had a meeting and a press release with more details will be issued by the end of the day.
For several months, the state has been trying to organize tender contests for the rental of commercial spaces at the Airport. There were at least three failed attempts. The last time the tender was suspended in June after the Constitutional Court declared unconstitutional the legal provisions extending the term of leasing out the spaces at the Airport. The law was re-examined and voted again in Parliament. In mid-August, the Chisinau International Airport announced the resumption of the tendering for the rental of unused assets intended for Travel Retail & Food and Beverages activity.
