Passengers hurt in minibus collision in Chisinau are out of danger

The passengers hurt in a minibus collision in Chisinau this morning, which involved two minibuses running on routes in the capital city, are now out of danger. None of those taken to the hospital needed hospitalization, IPN reports.

The driver of the minibus running on route No. 101 told the journalists that he stopped to take a passenger and, when he set off, he tried to avoid another vehicle and was hit in the back by a minibus running on route No. 129 that was travelling at high speed.

The passengers who were transported to the Emergency Hospital for examinations said that everything happened very quickly. When the two vehicles collided, personal belongings of the passengers were scattered all over the minibus.

When on the spot, deputy head of the General Public Transport and Communications Division Vitalie Butucel said the administrator of the minibus route whose driver will be found guilty will be penalized.

The accident happened on Tudor Vladimirescu St in Chisinau. Ten persons, two of whom children, were rushed to the hospital by ambulances.
