Patients will be able to schedule appointments with family doctor online

The Ministry of Health launched the implementation of the Primary Medical Assistance Information System that will enable the patients to schedule appointments with the family doctor online. The patient will have an electronic file that will contain personal data, the person’s main medical records, the weight, height, pulse and blood pressure as well as information about allergic reactions, the underwent surgeries and anesthesia, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry.

The information system will allow receiving the results of the medical examinations through email or the mobile phone, seeing the medical prescriptions and having discussions with other doctors through the Internet.

The system will be implemented at national level. The doctors will be thus able to organize their work much more efficiently. The system will be hosted by the common governmental platform mCloud gratis. This will enable the medical institutions to make substantial savings as they will not need to purchase servers and other necessary equipment.

The Primary Medical Assistance Information System will become fully functional next September, after all the modules for the medical personnel, the infrastructure components and the portal are implemented.
