About 100 persons in difficulty will attend initial and continuous development courses so as to be able to find a job. For the purpose, the Ministry of Education of Moldova and the Italian association Responsabilita Sociale Onlus signed a memorandum of cooperation whereby they aim to work out and implement a project to support persons with disabilities and those who come from residential institutions, IPN reports.
In the memorandum signing event, Deputy Minister of Education Cristina Boaghi said that if they learn a trade, the persons with disabilities will be able to become employed and to secure a source of livelihood. “As this is an essential, but also complex objective, we should adopt a multidisciplinary approach in the field and provide additional financial resources,” she stated.
Responsabilita Sociale Onlus president Monica Talpalaru said the informing and training of persons with disabilities and socially deprived persons will enable these to overcome the difficulties they face and to become useful members of society. In this connection, the association initiated a partnership with the Chisinau-based education center “Spre succes” (“To success”) that offers 11 training programs.
Depending on the obtained results, the project could be extended for two more years.
