Twelve persons will stand trial for purchasing, keeping, transporting, distributing and illegally putting into circulation narcotic and psychotropic substances and analogs in large quantities, IPN reports.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the traffickers are residents of Chisinau aged between 26 and 47. At the prosecutor’s request, they were remanded in custody.
The prosecutors established that the culprits joined a group of traffickers in the second half of 2013. Each of them played a special role. They received different quantities of heroine at the price of about 3,200 lei per gram and then retailed the drugs for 1,200 lei per 0.15 grams.
The other members of the group were put on the wanted list. They are being investigated in a separate case.
The prosecutors said they have enough evidence to prove the blame of the 12 drug traffickers, who are liable to 7 to 15 years in jail.
