The candidates who want to sit Baccalaureate exams out-of-program will be able to do it at four centers chosen by the Ministry of Education and the Assessment and Examination Agency, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Ministry, the four centers will be housed by the Chisinau high schools “C. Negruzzi”, “S. Haret” , “A. I. Cuza”, and “Svetoci”. The candidates can ask for information about the procedure for liquidating the program differences at these institutions. The head of the Assessment and Examination Agency Adrian Ghicov said that about 1 000 applications to take Baccalaureate exams out-of-program are submitted annually, but only half of the applicants come to the exams. “Only 487 of the 800 candidates who filed applications sat the exams last year. 344 of them passed them,” he stated. Consultations will be given at the four Baccalaureate centers until April 30. The Baccalaureate exams can be taken by persons older than 19 who graduated from secondary schools, vocational schools or colleges, students of higher education establishments admitted based on the secondary school grades, or persons who studied at high schools for at least two years, the tenth-eleventh grades.
