The Moldovan police announce a seizure of drugs worth one and a half million lei on the black market. The drugs were purchased through the Telegram app, and others by final consumers and various intermediaries through digital payments.
The General Police Inspectorate says that the criminal activity of a group of people suspected of producing narcotic substances was uncovered by the officers of the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, jointly with the investigators of the Ciocana Police Inspectorate.
A 24-year-old man was arrested while hiding a batch of drugs outside Cruglic village in Criuleni district. The police seized approximately 2.5 kg of marijuana and 600 grams of hashish.
The suspect was detained for 72 hours. He could face from 7 to 15 years in jail.
