20 snowplows deployed to clear Chisinau roads of overnight snow

Twenty units of snow removal equipment intervened during the night to clear the roads in Chisinau, municipal transport chief Veacselav Tarna has told Info-Prim Neo. Tarna assured sufficient anti-slip materials were spread to make roads practicable. He also assured snow teams would remain on duty over the weekend as well, if necessary. The overnight snow was the consequence of a Mediterranean cyclone which brought cool weather in Moldova. Weathermen warned of mixed rain and snow, high winds and ice coating on the roads over the weekend.
