As a result of the strong winds, 25 communities in four districts and ATU Gagauzia were still experiencing power outages at 5pm. Press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Liliana Puscasu has told IPN that the four districts are Criuleni, Orhei, Telenesti and Stefan Voda.
Emergency response teams are working on the spot to reconnect the villages to the supply of power. The works will resume tomorrow early in the morning.
The orange code advisory for high winds issued by the State Hydrometeorological Service is valid for October 31 too. The northwestern wind is expected to intensify to 25 m/s.
