Anticorruption prosecutors and National Anticorruption Center officers arrested a man from Glodeni on traffic of influence charges. According to the denouncers, this promised he will help obtain driver’s licenses for categories A, B and C through his influence upon employees of the Transport Registration and Driver Qualification Division of the State Information Resource Center “Registru” of Chisinau municipality, IPN reports.
According to the National Anticorruption Center, for his services the man asked for €250 to €300 per a driver’s license from his clients. As a result of searches at the man’s home, the Center’s officers seized dozens of files for obtaining driver’s licenses.
Thirty cases over traffic of influence were started against the man. If he is found guilty, he will serve up to seven years in jail. The suspect was arrested for 72 hours.
