The wife and mother of a man who was arrested for exploiting over 150 persons in agricultural works offered the policeman €4,000 and an Audi car for hushing up the case, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a communiqué, the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime says the wife and mother of the man, who was arrested late in September, were caught in the act of giving €500 bribe to a police officer.
Legal action over passive corruption was taken against the two women. They face 6 to 12 years in prison and a fine of 20,000 to 60,000 lei.
