The Central Election Commission on January 2 registered 41 of the 54 candidates fielded by the Party of Communists (PCRM) for running in the national constituency in the February 24, 2019 elections, IPN reports.
Nine candidates were struck off because they didn’t have an integrity certificate, but these could be put again on the list after they present the given certificates. Another four candidates gave up running on the Communist ticket.
Also today, the CEC decided by at least 15 trustworthy persons for each of the electoral contender in the parliamentary elections in the national constituency and single-member constituencies and for each participant in the national consultative referendum in the national constituency. These persons will be registered by the Commission.
