About 5,000 people are projected to come together for the march dedicated to the Trade Unionist’s Day on June 7. The march will start in the square of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova at 11.00 and will end in the Great National Assembly Square, where a call will be made to the authorities, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the National Confederation of Trade Unions, the trade unionists will seek decent salaries, safe and healthy work conditions, equitable pensions and medical services of a high quality, adequate student awards, jobs according to qualifications, etc.
The Trade Unionist’s Day has been marked the sixth year in a row after the two national trade union centers on June 7, 2008 decided that the two centers will be merged into one.
Today, the National Confederation of Trade Unions is the only inter-branch trade union center that has over 500,000 members representing 29 national branch trade union organizations.
