Seventy families in Criuleni town will be able to move to new homes towards the end of September. The erected apartment building is intended for socially deprived persons and invalids who do not have an appropriate place to live and who are unable to buy or built a new home, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction.
The block has a residential area of 2 470 square meters assessed at 27 million lei. This is the last building construed within the first stage of the Social Apartment Building Project that is implemented by the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction with financial support from the Council of Europe Development Bank.
The recipients of social apartments were selected by the local public authorities in accordance with the regulations concerning the way and conditions of implementing the project.
Within the first stage of the project, there were built four apartment buildings: 149 apartments in Chisinau, 30 apartments in Glodeni town and 70 apartments in Criuleni town.
At the end of November, representatives of the Council of Europe Development Bank are expected to approve the launch of the second stage of the project.
