71% of the Moldovans believe that things in the country go wrong, and only 17% believe that the way is right, shows the last opinion poll presented by the Association of Sociologists and Demographers. 12% of the respodnents do not have an answer to this question, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Association’s vice chairman Andrei Dumbraveanu said that such a distribution of the answers shows a negative attitude towards the development course of Moldova. According to the poll, 41% of the people consider that 2012 was harder than the previous year. For 10% of the respondents, last year was easier, while the others felt no difference. 53% of those polled said they are not satisfied with their way of life, 18% are more or less satisfied, while 29% couldn’t answer. For 27% of the population, the disposable incomes are not sufficient for the essentials. Each fifth respondent said their incomes ensure decent living conditions, but they cannot buy expensive things. 4% of those surveyed can purchase expensive things, but if they make sacrifices. Only 3% of the respondents can afford to buy everything they need. Among the most serious problems mentioned by the respondents are the rise in food prices and maintenance costs, the low salaries and pensions, and the children’s future. The survey was carried out during December 21-30. It covered a sample of 1,194 persons older than 18 from 72 settlements. The margin of sampling error is 3%.
