In September, the state company Energocom will buy 352,000 MWh of energy to be consumed on the western side of the Nistru River. 88% of the total will be bought from the Kuchurgan Power Plant in the Transnistrian region, the company posted on Facebook.
Energocom predicts that about 21,500 MWh or 6% will be generated by renewable energy producers under public procurement contracts.
Another 18,700 MWh (5%) will be bought at the Romanian OPCOM exchange, especially during peak hours, while the combined heat and power plants in Chisinau and Balti are expected to generate under 4,000 MWh (or 1%).
