The Committee of the National Resistance Movement ACUM, which intended to mount a protest against the government’s departures in the Great National Assembly Square on August 26, as of 2pm, called on the people to gather together in front of the moinument to Ruler Stephan the Great, IPN reports. The place of the protest could be changed as sympathizers of the Shor Party are having a barbecue and are amusing themselves in the central square.
In a press release, the Shor Party denies the accusations disseminated by the press as to the events held today in the Great National Assembly Square and says that they stage a peaceful event to support the social projects initiated by the party’s leader Ilan Shor. The party also denies having prepared provocations or having paid the participants in the event.
As of 2pm, the section of Ștefan cel Mare Blvd between the streets Maria Cebotari and Ismail and 31 august St and Columna St is closed to traffic. The trolleybuses and buses will be runnning on București St.
