Minister of Economy Andrian Candu was elected as the new president of the Administration Board of the Energy Efficiency Fund by a unanimous vote of the members, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Economy, about 450 million lei will be allocated from the Fund by this yearend for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in the public and private sectors.
Proposals are now being collected within Call No.4 designed for the private sector, which was launched on June 5. Within this call there will be put to good use 50 million lei, 30 million lei of which in the form of financial guarantees, while 20 million lei in the form of grants.
As to Call No.5, which is intended for public sector applicants for financing for optimizing public lighting systems, the Board decided to extend the deadline for collecting proposals until October 31.
