The chairman of the Broadcasting Coordination Council Dinu Ciocan and deputy chairman Nicolae Damaskin tendered their resignations in the May 12 meeting. In the same meeting, Council member Dragos Vicol was elected as the new chairman, IPN reports.
The terms in office of Dinu Ciocan and Nicolae Damaschin and of Mariana Onceanu-Hadarca expire this month. These were named to posts in 2011. Last week, Dinu Ciocan presented in Parliament the Council’s progress report and said that he does not leave activities unfinished.
Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu requested the competent commission to initiate the contest to choose three members of the Broadcasting Coordination Council.
