Agreement to form AEI made public

About three weeks after approval, the agreement on the constitution of the Alliance for European Integration was published on the Democratic Party’s website on January 18, Info-Prim Neo reports. The European integration, the county’s reunification, the preeminence of the law, an efficient and balanced foreign policy, decentralization of power, combating of poverty, public services of a high quality and sustainable economic growth are among the priorities of the new government collation stimulated in the agreement. The accord also contains the principles and values on which the alliance is based, including continuation of the initiated reforms, collective responsibility, consensus, transparency and ensuring of balance in governance. The agreement also says that the posts of the present ministries and governmental agencies will be preserved in the process of forming the coalition government, except those agreed by consensus. Under the accord, the method of appointing the deputy ministers, vice directors of the governmental agencies and managers of deconcentrated services will be agreed by the AEI Council. The Government decisions will be adopted by a majority vote of the executive members. The parties of the ruling alliance pledge to equality and concertedly contribute to the election of the head of state. On the other hand, the President commits himself to informing the Alliance’s Council about the draft decrees beforehand. If no objections are submitted within five days of the notification, the head of state will adopt the decision. If there are objections, the subject will be discussed within the Council. The agreement was signed on December 30, before the first sitting of the new Parliament.
