Air Moldova opened a new regular flight to Sochi. It will be operated two times a week, Info-Prim Neo reports. The passengers of the first plane to Sochi on May 30 were met in the airport’s sterile area with a festive table. The event was attended by Air Moldova director general Iulian Scorpan, who piloted the plane, and Russian Ambassador to Chisinau Valery Kuzmin. “A modern Embraer 190 will run on the regular Chisinau-Sochi-Chisinau route two times a week. This flight is designed to facilitate the Moldovan people’s travels,” said Iulian Scorpan. The first passengers received by a free flight certificate to Sochi as a gift. When the plane from Moldova landed at the airport in Sochi, it was ‘blessed ‘with water jets from firefighting vehicles. There was held a folkloric recital and a meal with traditional Moldovan dishes. A ticket to Sochi, with all taxes included, costs €57 and up, while a round-trip ticket - €46 and up. Currently, Air Moldova operates direct flights to 20 destinations.
