The air navigation commission of Moldova decided that the aircraft of the national operators will avoid the airspace of Ukraine until decisions on entering it are taken at international level, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the Civil Aeronautic Authority of Moldova.

The commission convened this morning to examine the state of affairs following the Ukrainian authorities’ decision to close all the flights transiting eastern Ukraine after a plane of the Malaysian Airlines crashed on Ukraine’s territory on July 17.

According to the Civil Aeronautic Authority of Moldova, the flights to and from Russia provided by Air Moldova are operated safety, according to the recommendations and bypassing corridors proposed by the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation Eurocontrol.

Given the situation created at international level, some of the flights may be delayed and the flying period will be lengthened so as to guarantee the high level of flight safety and security.

On July 17, a Boeing 777 of Malaysia Airlines with 280 passengers onboard and 15 crew members crashed in Donetsk region, about 50 km from he border with Russia. No one survived.
