The leader of the People’s Party of the Republic of Moldova (PPRM) Alexandru Oleinic is convinced that Moldova’s image and people’s confidence can be restored only by ensuring the rule of law. The parties whose representatives contributed to the stealing of the €1 billion from the banking system and of other billions of lei through state-owned companies and of hundreds of millions of lei through the gas and power tariff policies must be ‘outlawed’ so as to give a lesson of morality to the whole political class and to bring back Moldova on the path of development and welfare, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the party.
“After they robbed the people of Moldova through Banca de Economii, Banca Social and Unibank, the politicians from Moldova’s Parliament, on the pretext of acting in the name of the people and the country’s European future, caused chaos and political anarchy, showing the people that they do not have responsibility and respect for the Constitution, the laws and the state. Namely they, the politicians and the parties they represent, are to blame for the situation created by politicizing the state institutions, distributing posts according to political criteria, rigging the local and parliamentary elections, corrupting the voters and by interpreting the laws so as to remain in power at all costs,” stated Alexandru Oleinic.
The leader of the PPRM said the representatives of the ruling parties should realize that people’s votes for a party or another were only a ‘credit’ of trust as confidence is obtained by what they do for the people, by respect and responsibility for what means state, by integrity and devotion, not by manipulating public opinion so as to come to power and pursue narrow party and group interests.
