The Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) intends to form a government coalition with the PRO Moldova Party and the Shor Party, against which it struggled during the last few years. Moreover, based on protests against those who now form PRO Moldova and the Shor Party, the PPPDA built its philosophy, commentator Alexei Tulbure, Moldova’s former ambassador to the UN and CoE, was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Important” on TVC21 channel.

“I don’t think this government will be formed, but let’s presume that it will be. How far will this government go as it will be expected to deliver results, as any other government? Results will be expected in the justice sector reform, in the work of the prosecution service. But the people from PRO Moldova, from the Shor Party are the first clients of the prosecution service. The new justice will have to deal with these people,” stated Alexei Tulbure.

He considers the PPPDA should pray that the plan it proposes would not implemented as no one would like to take over governance in the current conditions. “The PPPDA should plead not for the formation of a government, as this will be a fiasco for this party, but rather for a political program,” he said.

Expert in political sciences Igor Volnitski said the PPPDA’s actions are just political PR actions.

“In this case, the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” hopes there will be more MPs who will leave the Socialist group or the Democratic group. They also hope the Democrats will change their mind. I don’t think the hopes of the PPPDA will come true. The Socialists are determined to keep the power in the state. We should not forget that they now hold all the instruments to keep power,” stated Igor Volnitski.

In conclusion, the two experts noted that the Party of Socialists will do its utmost for the current parliamentary session not to end with the dismissal of the Chicu Government. When the spring-summer session is over, the Socialists will forums on the campaign prior to this autumn’s presidential elections.
