The legislative amendments by which the post of MP assistant was excluded took effect. This way, the 77 MP assistants were discharged, IPN reports.
According to the Parliament’s press service, the post of MP assistant is substituted with the allocation of an annual budget to the MPs for financing their activity. This will enable the MPs to contract personal assistants and experts in different areas according to their requirements and needs. The MPs will be able to have an assistant doing voluntary work.
The post of MP assistant was instituted in 2012.
