The public services provided by the Moldovan authorities will be incorporated into an information system. The Cabinet on September 8 approved the decision concerning the institution of the information system “State Register of Public Services”, IPN reports.
Deputy Prime Minister for Digitization Iurie Țurcanu said the State Register of Public Services will include all the public services provided by the responsible central public authorities, with the possibility of including the public services offered by the authorities of the local public administration. The new system will enable to optimize and improve the process of providing public services and to constitute a database for developing the governmental public services portal.
For the first year, money for developing the State Register of Public Services will be allocated through the Modernization of Governmental Services Project that is implemented by the e-Government Agency with support from the World Bank Group. The costs were assessed at about 1.8 million lei. The annual costs for managing the Register were estimated at approximately 300,000 lei, which will be allocated from the state budget by financing the e-Government Agency in a centralized way.
