“All the increases in charges are illegal and all those who contributed to them are swindlers and deceivers,” Maia Laguta, the head of “Salvgardare” Association, said in a news conference on January 19. According to her, the sabotage is the only solution for dealing with the rising charges, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“We can say with certitude that all the rises in the water, natural gas, electric power and heat charges and in bus and trolleybus fares are illegal. Termocom, Apa-Canal, the academicians and doctors of science deride us,” Laguta said.
According to her, the charges are exaggerated. The gas charge for household consumers must be 0.10-0.15 lei per cubic meter. “Don't listen to the ANRE and Moldova-Gaz as they mislead you,” Maia Laguta said.
She criticized the director of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) Victor Parlicov. “When he wasn't director, he always agreed with us and supported us, but now he ignores us.”
Maia Lguta also said that the most appropriate heat charge was in 2007, when it was 233 lei. But after Dorin Chirtoaca became mayor, the charge rose to 540 lei and now to 699 lei, she said.
As to the higher electric power tariff, Laguta said the rise is groundless as there were presented no proofs that would justify it.
The head of “Salvgardare” also said that Dorin Chirtoaca's promises to change the procedure for granting compensations for trips by public units of transport are empty. “Only when the City Council examines this issue, will we believe Dorin Chirtoaca's words,” she said.
Maia Laguta announced that they arranged a meeting for January 23 and will invite Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca, Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubko and the ANRE director Victor Parlicov to it to discuss the issue of charges. “If they do not come, we will draw conclusions,” she said.
