The students who graduated from teacher-training faculties will get allowances of 120,000 lei on employment on the graduation year and during three years after graduation if they work according to specialty, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.
By extending the period of offering the employment allowance to young specialists, the Government aims to provide the education institutions with qualified teaching staff.
“Last year, we increased the lump sum paid at the start of the career to those who enter teaching to 120,000 lei. Today we also extend the period during which the young teachers can start work and benefit from support,” stated Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
Also, the document envisions the assignment to jobs of young specialists who studied at universities and post-secondary technical professional education institutions part-time or full-time on a budget-funded place, depending on the needs of the state.
The allowance for young specialists who enter the education system is 120,000 lei for university graduates and 96,000 lei for graduates of post-secondary technical professional education institutions. This is paid in stages: the first tranche within a month of the employment, the second tranche after a year of work and the third tranche after three years of work.
According to the Ministry of Education, there are about 2,000 vacancies in the national education institutions in the 2018 – 2019 academic year.
