Ambassadors of U.S. and France awarded Order of Honor

Moldova’s Acting President Marian Lupu conferred state awards on the U.S. Ambassador to Moldova Asif Chaudhry and Ambassador of France in Chisinau Pierre Andrieu, in gratitude for the work done by them, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the presidential press service, Marian Lupu awarded the Order of Honor to Ambassadors Asif Chaudhry and Pierre Andrieu.
Also, the Civic Merit medal was conferred on Jean-Francois Myard, treasurer of the French Alliance in Chisinau, and Emmanuel Skoulis, president of the French Alliance, in gratitude for their contribution to developing the Moldovan-French relations.
During the award ceremony, Asif Chaudry said it was an honor for him to receive this award, stressing that the U.S. pledged to assist Moldova in implementing reforms and becoming a prosperous member of the EU. He stated that he and his family had a nice time in Moldova and this country will always be in their hearts.
Pierre Andrieu said that the order was given not only to him, but the whole team of the French Alliance. He underlined he had only friendly relations in Moldova.
Marian Lupu specified that the orders represent his personal gratitude as well because the two officials contributed actively to the European integration process and to developing the economic, commercial and other kinds of relations.
