A Chisinau man was hospitalized yesterday with a stab wound in the abdomen and doctors suppose it was inflicted by the man's wife during a drunk argument in their Ciocana home. The man has been admitted to the Emergency Hospital for surgery as the woman is interrogated at the Ciocana Police Commissariat, coordinating doctor Evelina Rusu has told Info-Prim Neo. Elsewhere, a 57-year-old man died in a fitness club. After exercising in the gym he swimming in the pool, the man entered in the sauna where he lost consciousness. Upon arrival the ambulance crew could only pronounce him dead. A young woman was admitted to Holy Trinity Hospital for detox after attempting to kill herself through pill overdose. Last night at 2:00, two young men and a women, all aged 20, were driving around the city in a Chrysler car when the vehicle struck a tree. The youths suffered brain concussions and multiple contusions and were admitted to the Emergency Hospital. Over the past 24 hours the Chisinau Emergency Service responded to 689 calls, including 54 cases of acute viral infections, 53 cases of trauma, 24 cases of pneumonia, 7 strokes and 17 births.
