Ambulances collect drunken men from streets

Three men were taken to the hospital after they were found on the street with alcohol intoxication. Eufalia Negreata, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that three men aged 30, 35 and, respectively, 55 were collected from different streets on Wednesday afternoon and taken to Saint Trinity Hospital. The 47-year-old guard of a company situated in Chisinau's Telecentru district was discovered dead this morning. Allegedly, the man died after abusing alcohol. A woman aged 40 tried to kill herself by taking pills. She was rushed to Saint Trinity Hospital for detox. An inebriated 24-year-old man cut his veins in order to kill himself. He was admitted to the Emergency Hospital. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service dealt with 683 calls, including 51 cases of trauma, 65 cases of acute viral infection, 26 deliveries, four strokes and three myocardial infarctions.
