Ion Paduraru is a good candidate for premiership, but the President should have insisted on Ion Sturza’s candidacy, the leader of the Platform “Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase stated in the talk show “In Depth” on PRO TV Chisinau channel, IPN reports.
“I know well Ion Paduraru and I think that he is able to succeed in this post, but the head of state should have yet insisted on his first candidate - Ion Sturza,” he said.
However, Andrei Nastase welcomed President Nicolae Timofti’s decision. “It is a victory of all those who took part in the protests. The President showed that he no longer belongs to those who put him there. It is a victory of the people. This means that the presidential institution escaped from oligarchs’ captivity,” he stated.
