“We came here in the Great National Assembly Square today to assume this independence the second time, with the commitment that we will do our best to once and for all get rid of this criminal oligarchic regime that subdued all the state institutions and to become independent,” the leader of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Năstase stated in the protest mounted by the National Resistance Movement ACUM on August 26, IPN reports.

“I want to ask each of you: Who mandated this government to transform the Republic of Moldova into a money laundering machine of the Russian mafia? Did someone of you do this? Did you mandate this government to steal US$ 1 billion from the state treasury? Did you mandate this government to adopt laws on the penal and fiscal amnesty of those who transformed the Republic of Moldova into a machine for laundering billions and made us and the future generation bear this burden? Did you mandate this government to adopt the mixed electoral system that suits Plahotniuc, Dodon, Shor and all kinds of rascals who neglect this country?” asked the politician.

Andrei Năstase said this government should leave and it’s time for the people to demand that it should leave. It should annul the laws adopted against the people and this can be done if the people come together in a large number and are decided. The MPs should be firmly requested to do this in the next sitting of the legislature.

The politician also said those who today take decisions not in the name of the people, but against them tried to prevent the protest and to transform it into a bloodshed, but their efforts were thwarted.

A part of the protesters plan to remain in the central square of Chisinau overnight so as to celebrate the Independence Day on August 27. Tomorrow mongering they intend to lay flowers at the Monument to Ruler Stephan the Great.
