The vice president of the Democratic Party Andrian Candu said snap parliamentary elections will be held given the made announcements. According to him, it is regrettable but no solutions for forming the Government and ensuring stability and maturity for governing the Republic of Moldova could be found during three months. In a press briefing after the meeting of the National Political Council of the PDM on June 7, the ex-Parliament Speaker said the Democratic Party will look for solutions so that the costs for organizing and holding the snap elections are covered by the parliamentary parties, IPN reports.
According to Andrian Candu, it is not right for the Moldovan citizens to suffer because of the irresponsibility of the politicians who could not find solutions to form a parliamentary majority during three months of the validation of elections. He reminded that immediately after the elections, the PDM invited the Bloc ACUM to discussions to consider establishing a government partnership, but the invitation was turned down.
The vice president of the PDM also said the Democrats have never discussed posts, while the discussions held by the Socialists and the MPs of the Bloc ACUM centered only on posts, not yet on the needs of the people. After the validation of elections, the parties have made a show and placed the own and party interests at the forefront.
For his part, the first vice president of the PDM Pavel Filip assured the organization of elections will not affect the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. He said the Government will continue to work and the pensions and salaries will be paid on time, whereas the initiated projects will be continued.
