Anenii Noi man raped and beaten to death

A man from Anenii Noi district was raped with a branch and then killed by four co-villagers. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the incident happened in Gura Bacului village on Thursday evening, Info-Prim Neo reports. The police were called by neighbors of the persons in whose house the crime was committed, after hearing terrible cries. Going to the scene, police officer found the body of a man in his 50s in one of the rooms. There were visible signs of violent death on it. There were five persons in the house, including the owner aged 55, two friends of his aged 55 and 54, the owner’s son of 23 and his 20-year-old partner. Questioned by the police, they said that the victim tried to have sex with the woman aged 20 and they unwillingly beat him to death when protecting her. During investigations, it was yet established that the victim was taken to the house by the owner’s son. He met him in the village and started to beat him after quarreling with him. He dragged him up to the house, where his father and the other two men also beat him. The victim was hit and raped with a branch. In order to escape punishment, the men invented that the victim tried to rape the young woman. The four men are investigated for intentional murder and face up to 25 years in jail or life imprisonment.
