Sixteen more cases of infection with COVID-19 have been confirmed in Moldova on March 24. Of these, three are of import and 13 are cases of local transmission. The total number of infected persons now rose to 125, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu was quoted by IPN as saying after the meeting of the Single Command Center.
The minister noted that the tests in the case of the four healthcare workers of the National Clinical Hospital, who were diagnosed with the novel coronavirus following tests done at a private lab, will be rerun at the laboratory of the National Public Health Agency. The four cases haven’t been included in the COVID-19 infection statistics for the 24 hours.
Of the total 125 persons diagnosed with COVID-19 in Moldova, two were cured and one died.
