The Ministry of Finance will allocate 41 million lei for providing one-off allowances of 16,000 lei to healthcare workers and other employees who became infected with COVID-19 in the line of duty, IPN reports.
As many as 2,654 persons will receive such an allowance. Of them, 1,685 are healthcare workers, while 969 are employees working in defense, justice sector, state security and other authorities and institutions.
The Ministry warns the public authorities that, as recipients of the allocated financial resources, they bear responsibility for the presented data. These will compile the documents needed for covering the given costs through the agency of the institutions where the persons work.
