Apa-Canal Chisinau disconnects consumers in debt from water supply

SA Apa-Canal Chisinau started to cut off the domestic consumers in debt. A week ago, the water supplier announced it would also disconnect the private sector consumers that have large debts. Ion Constantinov, the head of the company’s customer service, said that those that have been cut off will be reconnected after they pay 50% of the debts and present a payment schedule for the remaining debts, plus the connectional and reconnection costs valued at 230 lei. The company’s spokeswoman Ecaterina Stratan has told Info-Prim Neo that consumers’ debts to the water supplier total about 355 million lei. The debts of the economic entities amount to 92 million lei, of the private sector – to 5 million lei, while of the municipal housing sector – to over 250 million lei.
