Appointments to government. Liliana Iaconi appointed secretary general of government

Liliana Iaconi has been appointed secretary general of the government. During today's government meeting, Prime Minister Ion Chicu said that Liliana Iaconi comes from the Ministry of Finance. Since December 2008, she has headed the Policy Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate at the Ministry of Finance.

According to the prime minister, Liliana Iaconi is a professional with integrity, who is dedicated to her duties and to the homeland. "I have full confidence that she is the best pick for the vacant position", said Ion Chicu.

At the proposal of the Minister of Finance, Serghei Puscuţa, Iurie Paşinschi was appointed secretary general of the Ministry of Finance. He works in the institution since 2005. He has held several positions within the ministry, including management ones. Since 2017 he has been head of the institutional management department. Tatiana Ivanicichina, Angela Voronin and Dorel Noroc were appointed state secretaries at the Ministry of Finance.

At the proposal of Anatol Ustîi, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Vitalie Tarlev and Mihai Lupaşcu were appointed MEI state secretaries.

Mariana Grama was appointed secretary of state at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, while Vadim Cojocaru  was appointed head of the General Police Inspectorate, after being proposed by the minister Pavel Voicu.

Fadei Nagacevschi, Minister of Justice, proposed to appoint Radu Foltea and Eduard Serbenco as secretaries of state.

At the proposal of Aurel Ciocoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Oxana Domenti was appointed Ambassador to the Principality of Liechtenstein with dual accreditation, while residing in Geneva. Dmitri Croitor was appointed Ambassador to Turkey, while Mihai Căpățână was picked General Consul of the Republic of Moldova to Frankfurt, Germany.

Nelea Rusu, Djulieta Popescu and Alexandru Holostenco were appointed state secretaries at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection.

Mihai Machedon and Tatiana Nistorică were appointed state secretaries at the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.

Eugeniu Moraru was released from the position of Public Property Agency general director and Andrei Matei was released from the position of general director of the National Insurance Company in Medicine.

According to Prime Minister Ion Chicu, these appointments are a first step towards restoring the functionality of the central public administration and are strengthening the ministry teams.

Ion Chicu ordered that, until the next sessions of government, the next set of candidates for state secretary positions should be identified in order to fill the vacant positions and ensure maximum transparency of decision-making processes in ministries, especially with social and economic impact.
