April 1 is the last day when the citizens can purchase a mandatory health insurance policy in fixed amount at reduced prices, IPN reports.
According to the National Health Insurance Company, landowners benefit from a 75% discount and can pay 1,014 lei at the local offices of the Company.
Private individuals who perform independent retail trade activities, except for trade in goods on which excise duties are imposed, benefit from a 60% discount and pay 1,622.40 lei.
The founders of individual enterprises, patent holders, lessors, lessees and other citizens who do not work and are not insured by the government pay 2,028 lei, which is half of the health insurance premium.
After April 1, the persons who didn’t buy a health policy at a discount will fully pay the health insurance premium of 4,056 lei, with a fine of 750 to 1,650 lei and a delay penalty equal to 0.1% of the insurance premium for each day of delay. The health policy is activated within seven days of the payment day.
