Armed robbery in Cricova town

Five persons broke into the house of an entrepreneur from Cricova town through the window on the night of June 15 and attempted to steal goods, but were caught red-handed, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Interior Ministry, the robbers put up resistance, with one of them trying to escape. They are aged between 24 and 28 and are from Calarasi district. One of them earlier served time in prison. The police established that the arrested persons have also committed other crimes. In February, the group robbed a house in Horodiste, Calarasi, while in March they stole money from a filling station in Calarasi. Also in March, they broke into the head office of a company based in Bucovat, Straseni, and stole equipment to the value of 62,000 lei. The robbers face 10 to 15 years in jail.
