Arrest warrants against Sergiu Mocanu's sons annulled

The Chisinau Court of Appeals Thursday annulled the arrest warrants against the sons of politician Sergiu Mocanu, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the press unit of the social-political movement European Action. During a year, Roman and Adrian Mocanu had been under the protection of the Romanian state. They lived on the territory of the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau. As they hold Romanian nationality, they entered the Embassy by forcing the door and asked for consular protection. The young men were investigated for beating a person in a discotheque. Sergiu Mocanu, who was adviser to the former President Vladimir Voronin, says the case against his sons was fabricated and used as political instrument against him.
