Rector of the Academy of Economic Studies (ASEM) Grigore Belostecinic was elected vice president of the Liberal-Democratic Party (PLDM) in the educational field. The announcement was made by party leader Vlad Filat after the meeting of PLDM's National Political Council on Saturday, October 13, Info-Prim Neo reports. The position was vacant after former Ministry of Education Mihail Sleahtitchi was removed from the party leadership in March this year. Vlad Filat said that there would be changes in the party's Permanent Bureau as well. “It was a vast discussion. We talked about our further tasks and heard some reports about the work of some of our local officials. We set new goals. Valeriu Cosarciuc was removed from the party leadership and stripped of his party membership. We had an agreement and he signed a resignation request. Pantelei Sandulache was removed from the party as well, it' s logical decision and we'll do the same with anyone who doesn't respect our status rules and common sense norms”, declared Vlad Filat. The Liberal-Democratic leader finds it obvious that a party member should respect the party decisions, to not participate in protests against the Government, especially when the head of the Government is the party leader. At the meeting of the PLDM' s National Political Council, the party members voted unanimously to elect vice presidents Valeriu Strelet, Liliana Palihovici, Ion Balan, Vadim Pistrinciuc, Octavian Grama and Iurie Tap.
