The Government will provide financial support to the persons whose homes were seriously destroyed by the recent heavy rain in Ceadar-Lunga town. It will allocate 2.111 million lei from its reserve fund to the local authorities. The money will be distributed for purchasing building materials or homes, depending on the needs, IPN reports.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip instructed the competent authorities to swiftly assess the damage caused by the rainstorm in the town. The persons whose houses were destroyed partially or completely will be the first to be helped.
The Premier noted that a legal investigation is needed into the cases of tree falling that resulted in one death and one person seriously hurt.
“We must know why this happened and see if the responsible authorities took the necessary measures to prevent such tragedies,” said Pavel Filip.
