The Moldovans who returned home from abroad will benefit from free access to information and counseling, including legal advice, in matters concerning medical and social insurance, obtaining of dwellings and integration into the education system. A relevant project was examined in a joint meeting of the Bureau for Diaspora Relations and the Mission of the International Organization for Migration, IPN reports.

Attending the event, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said the Government is taking measures to create jobs with competitive salaries and better work conditions for the people who returned home. The authorities are also preoccupied with the formulation and promotion of training programs to prepare skilled personnel in different areas of the economy.

Chief of IOM Mission to Moldova Antonio Polosa said that Moldova goes through a crucial period in its history during which it consistently pursues its European integration objective. The aspects concerning social-economic stability and the prospects of migration play an important role, while the international community must help Moldova to take the decisive step towards achieving this objective, which means that it will obtain the status of associate of the EU.
