The members of Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) are unhappy with the concepts presented by broadcasters when they apply for broadcasting licenses. “I notice the broadcasters’ tendency to come totally unprepared. Either they don’t take us seriously, or they just hope such presentations will suffice”, stated Dinu Ciocan, BCC member, at the meeting on October 5, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The topic was tackled at the examination of the concept proposed by “Teleproiect” for the TV channel “Ren Moldova”. The BCC observed there was a great difference between the presented concept and the actual broadcasting program. While the company said in its concept that local programming would occupy 35% of the air time, the BCC members found that the channel didn’t broadcast any Moldovan films or shows.
The BCC reject the company’s license request and warned other broadcasters that it wouldn’t accept any applications that are incomplete or that don’t comply with the regulation.
