Members and sympathizers of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) protested in front of the building of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE). The demonstrators demanded lower rates for energy resources, IPN reports.

MP Petru Burduja said that the country doesn’t need ANRE. “Moldova doesn’t need this regulator. There are ministries that can take over its duties. They receive pays of €80,000-€90,000 per month and will never understand the citizens who don’t have money to pay their bills,” he noted.

Municipal councilor Ala Ursu-Antoci said ANRE and the PAS government are to blame for all the bad things in the country. “We seek the resignation of ANRE, the resignation of the PAS government! Today’s charges are the price of PAS’s incompetence. Thanks to them, Moldova is going through the most difficult patch,” stated the councilor.

MP Bogdan Țîrdea accused the Government of deceiving the people. “Sandu betrayed the citizens and this country. The citizens are rapidly becoming poor. Sandu and PAS do not have the moral right to represent the people whom they brought to such a state!” he said.

MP Alla Pilipetskaya said that the people are dissatisfied and they don’t need this government because it doesn’t need the people. “Moldova is under full foreign influence. This government is ready to sell the motherland for its own interests,” she stated.

Last week, members and supporters of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, mostly pensioners, protested outside the Government Building, accusing the government of “social genocide” and demanding that this should resign.
